4/20:Houston Astros starting pitcher Lance McCullers threw 6 2/3 innings of shutout baseball to earn his second win of the season in the Astros' 2-1 win on Thursday afternoon. McCullers struck out eight batters and allowed only three hits before handing the ball to reliever Chris Devenski to close it out. McCullers now has 31 strikeouts in only 24 innings pitched, averaging just under eight strikeouts per start. McCullers rebounded from a shaky previous start to lower his ERA to 3.38. With Dallas Keuchel off to a hot start, McCullers has emerged as the solid No. 2 in the starting rotation for the first-place Astros heading into the final week of the month of April.--Joey C - RotoBaller
