Kyren Williams 2023 Outlook: Set To Compete For Rams RB2 Job
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams running back Kyren Williams had a mostly quiet rookie campaign, rushing 35 times for 139 yards and catching nine passes for 76 yards -- scoring no touchdowns. However, he's still in play for the Rams' RB2 behind Cam Akers in 2023. Los Angeles selected Ole Miss running back Zach Evans in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft but did not add any more notable competition. That said, Evans and Williams will have all offseason to battle it out to be the primary handcuff RB in Sean McVay's offense. There should be more clarity on this position battle as the 2023 season approaches, but for now, keeping both players on the fantasy radar is a smart move. Akers has had injury issues early in his career, so one of the two could see a handful of starts this season.
