Kyle Lowry 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoToronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry had a tough year offensively in 2018-19, shooting only 41.1 percent from the field, but he found the perfect running mate in Kawhi Leonard and got to celebrate an NBA championship. He took his game as a playmaker to another level, posting a career-high 8.7 assists per game. With Kawhi gone, we can expect Lowry to once more improve his scoring output for the season. He scored 14.2 points per game in 2018-19 which is around his career average, but his 13-year career also features a couple of seasons with 20-plus points. With players like Leonard and DeMar DeRozan in town, Lowry hasn't had the chance to carry the offense, but he is in a prime spot to do so now. Lowry has been an All-Star in five straight seasons and 2019-20 shouldn't be any different if he manages to stay healthy. There have been a few issues regarding that in the last few seasons, as he's featured in at least 70 games just once during the last three years. Overall, Lowry remains one of the strongest options at point guard in fantasy basketball as he's also a good defender and rebounder.
