Kyle Hamilton 2022 NFL Player Outlook: Fantasy’s Top Rookie Defender by a Mile
2 years agoWhether you are in a redraft or dynasty league, no rookie defender in this year's class comes close to the fantasy value Baltimore Ravens defensive back Kyle Hamilton offers. The Notre Dame product plays a tremendously thin fantasy position (DB) with ideal length, tremendous recognition, and elite anticipation that helps him contain the edge better than his poor 40-time would suggest. Don't be surprised if Hamilton's disappointing pre-draft workouts actually work to your advantage, causing him to drop further than he should in redrafts. Anyone smart enough to ignore the numbers and pull the trigger on this former Fighting Irish will be getting a tremendously smart safety who is earmarked for a fantasy-friendly role on a Ravens defense in desperate need of secondary support. Only Derwin James should go before Hamilton in dynasty drafts, and the rookie should also be a top-ten DB in redraft formats. With a current ADP of undrafted, Hamilton could be one of IDP's biggest steals in 2022.
