5 months agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland is expected to rejoin the team's rotation sometime this month, in the opinion of The Athletic's Nick Groke. The left-hander last pitched in the big leagues on May 30 and was sent down after struggling to the tune of a 7.13 ERA, 1.57 WHIP, 49 strikeouts and 25 walks over 59 1/3 innings in 12 starts for Colorado. There's hope for a rebound, though, especially after he gave up only one run while striking out nine in his latest outing for Triple-A Albuquerque. Freeland was 17-7 with a 2.85 ERA in 2018, so there's certainly rebound potential. However, fantasy owners in mixed leagues should take a wait-and-see approach when he does return to the rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
