Kris Bryant Scuffling, Gets Night Off On Saturday
4 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Kris Bryant is out of the lineup on Saturday against the New York Mets. The 31-year-old hasn't gone yard in 15 games, and is just 2-for-24 over his last seven outings with a lone RBI and extra-base hit, so perhaps he could use a breather. Bryant hasn't benefitted much from the hitter-friendly Coors Field this season, as his overall productivity is similar whether home or away. The former National League MVP has been a strikingly low-ceiling fantasy option on a daily basis, collecting multiple RBI in only three games out of 47 so far in 2023. Utility man Harold Castro takes over in right field and is batting sixth against Justin Verlander.
