3/19:Kevin Plawecki doesn’t have much of a chance to make an impact with the Mets early on this year, his solid yet unspectacular spring certainly hasn’t moved him up the depth chart rankings with Travis d’Arnaud and Rene Rivera ahead of him. The former great-hitting prospect had a big game on Saturday though, finishing 2-for-3 with his first home run of the spring against the Cardinals. Overall this spring, he’s hitting .294 with a .333 OBP and .804 OPS with three runs scored, one homer and one RBI. Plawecki has always been an excellent hitter in the minor leagues, but that talent hasn’t translated to the Majors in the chances he’s received at the big show. He’s nothing more than a hopeful dynasty stash at this point.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
