5/29:Los Angeles Dodgers starter Kenta Maeda was pulled from Tuesday night's game against the Phillies in just the second inning after he had only pitched 1 2/3 innings through 38 pitches. Even those watching the game didn't seem to know what was immediately wrong, so we'll have to wait for an official update. He was shown waving the trainers off, but manager Dave Roberts apparently overruled the Japanese starter and pulled him anyway. The 27-year-old has been above-average so far, posting a 3.38 ERA and a 1.204 WHIP. His strikeout numbers are what really shine at 66 K's through just 50 2/3 innings pitched, good for an 11.7 K/9.--Devon Taylor - RotoBaller
