Kendall Wright 2018 Outlook: Nothing More Than A Role Player
6 years agoDid you know that Kendall Wright is only 28 years old? Yeah, it feels like he's been around forever. Wright led the Bears in receiving last season (which is more of an indictment on the Bears) with 59 receptions on 91 targets for 614 yards and a touchdown. While he may score a couple more touchdowns, he will be hard pressed to reach that type of volume. Firmly behind the best receiver duo in the league in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs as well as Kyle Rudolph, Wright will be the third option in the passing game, at best. I do think he will easily beat out Laquon Treadwell for the starting role in three receiver sets because Treadwell is terrible at football, but Wright is going to be a far better real life player than fantasy player. He is firmly off the fantasy radar.
