Karl-Anthony Towns 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns is set to be a top fantasy option once again this season as he mans the middle in Target Center. Towns is coming off a season in which he averaged 21.3 points per game and 12.3 rebounds per game to go along with 1.4 blocks per contest. The scoring numbers took an expected turn downwards after Minnesota’s acquisition of Jimmy Butler, but it would be a shock to see them fall any further this season. With head coach Tom Thibodeau well known for playing his starters heavy minutes, expect Towns to once again play at least 35 minutes per game. Town’s durability — he’s never missed a game in three seasons in the NBA — coupled with the number of minutes he’ll be on the court and his continued development from behind the three point line, where he shot 42.1 percent on 3.5 attempts per game, make him a great early fantasy pick.
