Jusuf Nurkic 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic played only 26.4 minutes per game last season, but the team still locked him up with a multi-year deal in the summer showing belief in his abilities. Even in limited minutes, the big Bosnian managed to be a good fantasy contributor, getting 14.3 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting and nine rebounds. He was joint-seventh among all centers with 27 double-doubles and ranked ninth in the league in block per game with 1.4 swats. Nurkic needs to work on his discipline as he registered 3.1 personal fouls per game, which is the biggest reason behind his modest playing time. Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum are still the two stars in Portland, but Nurkic is slowly starting to make some noise, and 2018-19 could be a really big year for him as he enters his fifth season in the league.
