1 year agoAfter enduring one of the toughest U.S. Open tournaments and finishing in the top 25, Justin Thomas was hoping to catch a break this week and fire off some low rounds at the Travelers Championship. Thomas accomplished this, but only during his first two rounds, carding a four-under 66, and he followed suit on Friday with a one-under 69 to sit at five-under heading into the weekend. Sitting in a decent spot on Saturday, Thomas shot an even-par 70, and his dismal three-over 73 on Sunday dropped him to a T53 finish. This week, Thomas heads to the French Open to hopefully gain an advantage for the upcoming Ryder Cup. This will be Thomas’ first showing at the event and his second European Tour start, not counting the Open Championship. Thomas is ranked second in the Official World Golf Rankings and has a scoring average of 69.358.--Todd Dorsa - RotoBaller
