7/16:After a hot start to the season, and subsequent continuous improvement with each passing month, fantasy owners were beyond pleased with the production from Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Justin Smoak. In July, however, Smoak has struggled with a .238/.304/.405 slash line that’s had owners nervous he’s reverting to the Smoak of old. The All-Star Break should have been time for him to clear his head and get it going again though, right? Apparently not. Smoak is 0-for-6 with two strikeouts since play resumed on Friday (but does have one run scored). It’s certainly not the start owners wanted, but it’s also too early to panic. Let’s see if one of 2017’s biggest surprises can get it going over the next week.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
