Justin Herbert 2020 Outlook: Long-Term Upside Makes Him Attractive Dynasty Target
5 years agoTaken sixth overall in this year's draft, former Oregon Duck Justin Herbert will hopefully be the Bolts next franchise signal-caller in the post-Philip Rivers era. Herbert has great size and a big frame (6-foot-6, 236 pounds), has experience in professional passing concepts and has shown the ability to read defenses. His big arm will allow him to make all the necessary throws at the next level, but he needs to learn to trust his instincts more and use more touch on his passes at all levels of the field. There's a lot to like here, though, and there is clear long-term upside. However, the Chargers also believe in Tyrod Taylor enough to give him a real shot to begin the season as the starter, which means that Herbert's time might have to wait. But make no mistake, the young prospect will be under center in LA sooner than later. He'll be a fine target for QB-needy fantasy owners in dynasty/keeper leagues.
