8/31:The bottom-dwelling Padres may have been just what the doctor ordered for Julio Teheran. After several rough starts in a row, Teheran appeared to be back in All-Star form, tossing seven innings and allowing two earned runs. He also struck out eight while walking none. The good news is that he gets the Phillies next. Although he didn't fare too well against them earlier this year, giving up three ER in five IP, Philadelphia remains the second-worst hitting team in MLB at .239 behind only (who else?) the Padres. Despite his recent shakiness, Teheran showed enough last night that you can start him with confidence next time out.--Pierre Camus - RotoBaller
