3 years agoStarting pitcher Josh Tomlin had one awesome season in his pocket until an August meltdown derailed everything. He went into August 11-3 with a 3.43 ERA and 87 strikeouts in 120.2 innings. But then the wheels fell off and he went 0-5 with an 11.48 ERA over his next six starts, costing him his rotation spot in the process. After a bullpen banishment, he came back to be solid again to close out the season. When Tomlin is at his best, he suppresses runs and strikeouts out some but not a lot. He'll be a solid back-end fantasy rotation option in all leagues in 2017 if he can avoid another prolonged slump.--Tony
