Josh Rosen 2018 Player Outlook: Polished Quarterback Prospect Could Have Value
6 years agoThe Arizona Cardinals addressed the quarterback position in the 2018 draft, using the tenth overall pick on UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen. Rosen comes into his rookie season as one of the more polished quarterback prospects in recent years, boasting excellent accuracy and a cerebral approach to the position. While the assumption has been that he would open the year as the backup to veteran Sam Bradford, there's a chance he could win the starting gig outright. Bradford still can't practice every day due to lingering knee issues, which could open the door for Rosen to take over as the starter and not look back. Rosen has some weapons to utilize in Arizona, including future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald, All-Pro running back David Johnson, and high-upside rookie Christian Kirk. Rosen doesn't need to be drafted in single quarterback formats but don't hesitate to add him off waivers if he gets off to a hot start in his rookie season.
