1 year agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Jorge Polanco had a big night at the plate in his team's 15-8 win over the Detroit Tigers on Thursday. Polanco went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer and later tacked on another RBI to finish with four. The veteran shortstop was the guy who got his offense off to a fast start, launching a first-inning offering from Francisco Liriano over the fence for a three-run bomb. Polanco is now hitting .291 with two homers, 22 runs, 20 RBI, and four steals over 148 at-bats. He's worth a look in leagues where you need a shortstop. Polanco will face off against Tigers lefty Matthew Boyd on Friday.--Matt Terelle - RotoBaller
