Jonathan Taylor 2020 Outlook: 1A to Mack's 1B
5 years agoJonathan Taylor getting drafted by the Colts is a blessing and a curse. The great news is that he gets to run behind one of the best offensive lines in the league with a savvy, offensive-minded head coach at the helm who wants to run often and efficiently. The bad news is that he is probably stuck in a committee for at least the 2020 season. Marlon Mack is no slouch when it comes to his respective role. Mack is coming off of back to back, successful seasons on the ground where he rushed for over 900 yards each with an average of 4.5 yards per carry. However, Mack is a one-trick pony and if their plan is to transition to the versatile Taylor after this season, that will be great for dynasty purposes. For redraft, Taylor is going to see his fair-share of work with 15-20 touches per game but may rise up too high as we get closer to the season and the hype gets out of control. If you see him valued in the first or second round, pivot elsewhere.
