Jonathan Schoop Will Build On Stellar 2017 Season
7 years agoLast year, Jonathan Schoop was considered a sneaky-good pick in the mid-to-late rounds of a draft. He'd had a strong 2016, hitting 25 homers and collecting 82 RBI. Well, this year, he's shed that tag after a '17 season that saw him smack 32 dingers and 105 RBI. He's just entering his athletic prime too - he won't turn 27 until mid-October. We've noted his progress on here, ranking him No. 49 out of 358. There is a risk of a bit of a drop-off, though should Manny Machado change his work address sometime this season, but he's still got a lot of other protection in the lineup. Schoop is worth picking early for a need at second or infield and he is a sure bet as a top-10 2B.
