Jon Berti 2021 Outlook: Playing Time Will Lead To Fantasy Value
4 years agoMiami Marlins utility infielder/outfielder Jon Berti should make for a solid fantasy asset in 2021 as long as he gets somewhat consistent playing time. Berti played in 39 games last season, posting a .258/.388/.350 slash line with two home runs, 21 runs scored, 14 RBI, and nine stolen bases. Berti played all over the field, appearing everywhere except for first base, catcher, and on the mound. The Marlins are expected to make some moves before the season begins, but Berti has a good chance to get plenty of playing time at second base next season unless some of the Marlins infield prospects develop a bit quicker than expected. At worst, Berti is a poor man's Enrique Hernandez.
