4 years agoThe Chicago White Sox announced on Tuesday afternoon that John Danks had been designated for assignment and that Erik Johnson would be taking his spot in the rotation, for now. Danks had an 0-4 record with a 7.25 ERA through 22.1 innings in April and it was just a matter of time before they couldn't keep rolling him out there. Erik Johnson has a 3.74 ERA and 1.38 WHIP with 16 Ks in 21.2 Triple-A innings thus far, and really should not be viewed as a fantasy option until he proves himself. Miguel Gonzalez looms as an option if Johnson falters as well. Outside of that, the South Siders don't really have many options for this spot unless they jump the gun on Carson Fulmer or something.--Nick Mariano - RotoBaller
