4/21:Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto provided all the offense for the Reds on Thursday. He went 1-for-4 with a solo homer off of Baltimore lefty Wade Miley. That ended up being the only run the Reds scored in the game. Votto has been heating up of late and is up to five home runs and nine RBI on the season. He also continued his career-long dominance against left-handed pitching. Votto is one of the rare lefty hitters who hits extremely well against southpaws, posting a .299 career batting average against them. If you own him in fantasy, you are starting Votto every day no matter what, but it's worth keeping his splits against lefties in mind in DFS when he faces a vulnerable left-handed starter. He will see another southpaw in Cubs starter Jon Lester tonight and makes for an interesting GPP play as such.--Matt Terelle - Rotoballer
