7 months agoCincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs in a 6-5 win over the Chicago Cubs on Friday. Votto also walked once in the win. The veteran first baseman is off to a sluggish start this season, hitting just .215 with a .668 OPS, four homers, eight doubles, 24 runs, and eight RBI. His power has all but evaporated while his 24.6% strikeout rate is the highest of his career. Votto is no longer an everyday fantasy first baseman and isn't even a must-hold in deeper mixed leagues.--Matt Terelle - RotoBaller
