4/20:With Detroit Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias likely going on the seven-day disabled list for a concussion, the Tigers called up Joe Jimenez from Triple-A Toledo once again. Jimenez is a top relief pitcher prospect after saving 30 games over three levels last season, posting a 1.68 ERA and 78 strikeouts in 52 2/3 innings, and Tigers' closer Francisco Rodriguez has a 5.40 ERA and 1.80 WHIP this season in 6 2/3 innings. In five appearances with the Mud Hens, Jimenez has allowed no runs on three hits with 10 strikeouts and two walks. Monitor this situation closely going forward. While it is too early to think that there is a closer controversy in Detroit, Jimenez has already been called up this season, and the 35-year-old Rodriguez could be on the hot seat again if the 22-year-old Jimenez impresses.--Chris Zolli - RotoBaller
