Jimmy Butler 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard/small forward Jimmy Butler enters the preseason fantasy rankings as a top-25 player, which is familiar territory for the elite two-way wing player. Butler’s stock dipped last preseason as he went from a Chicago Bulls squad where he was the go-to guy to a team that had many mouths to feed. He started the 2017-18 campaign a little slow but turned that around quickly as he saw his shooting efficiency reach a career-high of 51.2 percent. There have been rumbles out of Minnesota that Butler is not the happiest with his young sidekicks and their defensive efforts, possibly leading to him being traded. If things go well in Timberwolves’ land, then we should expect a similar output from Butler this year, but there is also a slim chance that they don't, so take these points into consideration, along with his history of injuries, when to draft him.
