4/21:After serving a 15-game suspension for a domestic-violence incident that occurred in October, New York Mets closer Jeurys Familia made his 2017 debut on Thursday against the Phillies. He obviously wasn’t at his best quite yet, allowing two walks but striking out two in one inning of work. Familia didn’t factor into the decision, as he pitched the ninth with the Mets down two runs. Give the 27-year-old closer some leeway as he seeks to find a groove now that he’s back -- chances are he’ll cut back on the walks soon. Mets fans hope he’ll have a few opportunities this weekend in a big early-season series against the Nationals.--Andrew Bua - RotoBaller
