Jeremy Pena Enters No. 2 Lineup Spot, Launches Homer
4 months agoHouston Astros shortstop Jeremy Pena went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI, two runs scored and a double in a 6-3 win over the Oakland Athletics on Saturday. The 25-year-old moved up to the second spot in the lineup for this one and yielded positive results with the promotion. Pena snapped a 21-game homer-less drought after undergoing a power surge to end April. Perhaps this cues the waning moments of the 2022 World Series MVP's fantasy buy-low window, but his Statcast rankings don't support this case. Pena should see his fantasy value bolstered nonetheless if his stay in the two-hole sticks going forward. The speedy infielder is slashing a disappointing .247/.290/.428 following his incredible postseason run.
