Jerami Grant 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoOklahoma City power forward Jerami Grant enters the season in prime position for a breakout season. With the departure of Carmelo Anthony and his 32.1 minutes per game, Grant has a chance to fill-in and make a difference as a shot blocker this season. Grant has struggled on offense anywhere outside of three-feet from the rim his whole career, what he lacks on the offensive end, he certainly makes up for it as a rim protector. Since entering the league in 2014, Grant has not averaged less than 1.0 blocks per game in any season. Per 36 minutes, Grant averaged 1.7 blocks per game and finished in the top-15 in the NBA in block percentage last season (percentage of opponent two-point field goal attempts blocked by the player while he was on the floor). If he can beat out Patrick Patterson for the starting four spot, Grant would position himself as a solid fantasy forward who can rack up at least 1.0 blocks per game.
