6 months agoBatting leadoff right ahead of rookie phenom Peter Alonso, New York Mets utility player Jeff McNeil recorded three hits as one of the club's leaders in a blowout victory Tuesday night. Starting in left field, the 27-year-old reached base in the third, later coming around to score the game's first run. He would score another run before eventually drilling a solo blast in the ninth for his club's 10th run on the night. McNeil continues to be a reliable hitter for the struggling Mets, now batting .333 with four home runs and 21 RBI.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
