4/20:Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim starting pitcher JC Ramirez couldn’t quite make it out of the sixth inning on Wednesday, going 5 1/3 innings and giving up three earned runs on six hits with one walk and nine strikeouts. He took the loss and is now 2-2 on the season. Ramirez did not get much help from his defense or bullpen but still managed to post a respectable line. He lowered his season ERA to 6.46. The nine strikeouts were really the only thing to like about this start, and that is likely more related to the free-swinging Houston team than anything Ramirez did. It is unlikely he will hold down a spot in the starting rotation much longer, and he should not be picked up in any format. He will line up at home against Toronto next time out.--Andy P - RotoBaller
