Javon Wims 2020 Outlook: Not Worth A Pick
5 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Javon Wims has yet to make a favorable impression throughout his first two years in the league. Selected in the seventh round in the 2018 NFL Draft, the former Georgia product went on to appear in just four games that season. While he did manage to suit up in all 16 contests in 2019, starting six of them for the concussed Taylor Gabriel, he disappointed by compiling 18 receptions for 186 yards and one touchdown to conclude the season. With 2020 ahead, the long-term outlook for the 25-year-old looks worse than ever as he will battle for looks with the likes Allen Robinson II, Cordarrelle Patterson, Anthony Miller, Ted Ginn Jr., Jimmy Graham, and rookie Cole Kmet. Though Wims has a chance to turn things around, his chances are slim with so many mouths to feed on the offensive end, along with the underwhelming play of Mitchell Trubisky over the years. As a result, Wims shouldn't be classified as a legit fantasy option, even in the deepest of formats.
