2 years agoJason Day missed his first cut of the season this past week at the 2018 U.S. Open. Day carded eight bogeys, one double-bogey and one birdie for good measure en route to a devastating round of 79 on Thursday. On Friday, Day attempted to rally to make the cut but fell short and missed the cut by a single stroke after recording a three-over 73 to head home early. This week, Day has shaken off the results of last week and has his sights set on conquering the Travelers Championship, where he will make his next start. Day’s only start at the Travelers Championship came in 2017 and resulted in a missed cut, but he looks to be excited about playing a course he likes. Day is ranked ninth in the Official World Golf Rankings and has a scoring average of 69.820.--Todd Dorsa - RotoBaller
