James Harden 2018-19 Player Outlook
6 years agoHouston Rockets guard James Harden enters the 2019 season coming off of a year that saw him capture the league’s most valuable player crown. Harden played exceptional all season long in 2018, and despite missing 10 games due to hamstring and knee ailments, he barely finished behind Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James in total points. He also lead the league with 30.4 points per game and finished with a monstrous 36.1 usage percentage, good for best among players who logged at least 2,000 minutes over the course of the season. Though he loses some appeal to New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis in category leagues, you could argue that he is the best player available in other formats. He has stayed virtually injury free for most of his career despite the small setback last season, is consistent and plays in one of the league’s most explosive, fast-paced offenses. If you are drafting in the top three picks, swipe him up if you know what’s good for you.
