Ja’Marr Chase 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Returning To Peak Form After Injury
2 years agoCincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase led the team in receiving yards and receptions last season. The 23-year-old caught 87 passes for 1,046 yards and nine touchdowns over 12 games in 2022. However, he had fewer yards and touchdowns than his breakout rookie campaign. A significant factor in the decline is missing four games in 2022 due to a hip injury. The cancellation of their Week 17 game against the Buffalo Bills didn't help either. Now that he's healthy, the 2023 season will be his chance to put himself back on the map. But while he is still Joe Burrow's top option in the passing game, their regular season journey will be challenging. Chase must find ways to break down elite defensive units like the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Baltimore Ravens. AFC North games are also dogfights, given the hostile environment and unfavorable weather elements. But those factors won't hinder Chase from becoming one of the top five wideouts in 2023. Therefore, he will be a solid addition during the early first round of fantasy football drafts. It would be shocking to see him still available beyond the fifth selection because he will be a steady source of yards and touchdowns.
