Jalin Hyatt 2023 Outlook: Late-Round Dart Throw With Low Floor
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Jalin Hyatt had a monster junior season at the University of Tennessee, catching 67 passes for 1,267 yards and 15 touchdowns. His most notable performance came against Alabama when he caught five touchdowns against Nick Saban's defense. However, he fell to the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft but landed in an offense with a ton of unproven wide receivers. He'll have an opportunity to play early in New York, but it could take time for him to develop since the Tennessee offense was far from what NFL offenses look like. He'll compete with Darius Slayton, Sterling Shepard, Isaiah Hodgins, Wan'Dale Robinson, and Darren Waller for targets as a rookie. Ultimately, it's tough to see Hyatt cracking lineups in traditional leagues, but the speedy deep threat could be an interesting dart throw in best ball formats. Daniel Jones impressed last season, but the Giants offense likely won't have one of the most prolific passing games in 2023.
