Jalen McMillan 2024 Outlook
6 months agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted Washington WR Jalen McMillan in the third round (No. 93 overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. The talented wideout was a part of an impressive trio for the college Huskies alongside WR Rome Odunze and WR Ja'Lynn Polk that saw them reach the National Championship game. McMillan was injured in the early part of the 2023 season but still managed to put up 45 receptions for 559 yards and 5 TDs. His numbers were more impressive in 2022 when he was healthy (79 recs for 1,098 yards and 9 TDs), and it was easy to see why he was off the board before the end of Day 2. McMillan isn't an overly athletic receiver, but is a smart, instinctive player who knows how to find holes in zone coverage and get open. Right now, McMillan will be competing with WR Trey Palmer, WR Rakin Jarrett, and veteran WR Sterling Shepard for playing time and doesn't have much fantasy value. However, WR Chris Godwin is a free agent after the 2024 season and McMillan could be a potentially valuable stash in dynasty leagues should Godwin exit.
