2 weeks agoPhiladelphia Phillies manager Gabe Kapler said that starting pitcher Jake Arrieta (elbow) is still scheduled to pitch this weekend against the Nationals. Arrieta has been pitching with a bone spur in his right elbow and allowed five earned runs in 4 1/3 innings last weekend against the Mets. The veteran right-hander has been bad in his last three starts and has seen his ERA rise to 4.67 to go with a 1.46 WHIP and 85 strikeouts in 108 innings over his 18 starts in 2019. There's still a chance the Phillies push Arrieta back or put him on the injured list, so he's a very risky option if he does start against Washington this weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
