2 years agoDuring a fourth inning at bat against Lance Lynn and the St. Louis Cardinals, J.J. Hardy was hit by a pitch on the right wrist. He lasted until the sixth inning, but was ultimately lifted and replaced by Reuben Tejada at shortstop. He was sent for X-rays, and will go for a follow-up scan on Monday. While the results haven’t been released yet, manager Buck Showalter said the results were “not good”, and the team “saw something that concerned us.” Given this, chances look good he lands on the disabled list. This could mean Reuben Tejada and the returning Paul Janish take his spot, or the Orioles move Manny Machado over to SS again. More news will come later today.--Ben Ruppert - RotoBaller
