12/16:Free-agent outfielder J.D. Martinez is said to be holding out for more years from his potential suitors, according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. Rosenthal reports that Martinez's agent, Scott Boras, landed seven-year deals in free agency for Jacoby Ellsbury, Matt Holliday and Chris Davis entering age-30 seasons, with Shin-Soo Choo entering his age-31 season and Jayson Werth entering his age-32 season. Martinez is entering his age-30 season, leading Rosenthal to believe that he is looking for a seven-year contract at a minimum.--Chris Zolli - RotoBaller
