8/16:Pittsburgh Pirates starter Ivan Nova was effective for six innings, but took a loss against the Brewers anyway. He was pitching outside the zone more than usual, walking a season-high three batters, but he limited the damage to two runs (one earned) on four hits over six innings. Nonetheless, Nova dropped to 10-10 on the year with a 3.77 ERA, 1.21 WHIP. It's good to see him making adjustments after getting pounded in four of his previous five starts, but his upside is still limited to help in ratios alone even when he's at his most effective.--Pierre Camus - RotoBaller
