3/15:Ian Anderson’s best asset is a lively fastball. He has wicked arm speed and generates a lot of power in the release. As he cleans up his mechanics and gains velocity, you could see his 90-94 mph fastball turn into a 93-97 mph fastball. He isn’t close to that at the moment but could get there with work. His curveball has a range of life to it, and depending on the break, it comes off like a bad changeup at times. That dangerous breaking curve is something I have seen him be punished on twice. Though when it does have its usual break to it, this pitch can become somewhat devastating. He can ride this pitch as low as 77 mph, which is 17 mph slower than his fastest fastball at the moment. I have also seen him throw this pitch with an eight mph difference and similar life in the same at-bat. This pitch has the potential to be filthy if he can consistently get the same depth. Like the fastball, he struggles to throw it anywhere but release side. He is far away from the majors but is an arm that could add a lot of value in dynasty leagues.--Joshua Schwager
