7/17:Seattle Mariners starting pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma has resumed throwing, per thenewstribune.com. Iwakuma threw some pitches on flat ground from about 70 feet away as he continues to hold out hope he will pitch this season. The 16-game winner in 2016 has been shut down twice now as he continues to deal with shoulder inflammation. Time is beginning to run out for Iwakuma to substantially help the Mariners in 2017 but simply getting back on the mound healthy is the key objective at this point. He had been making rehab starts in the minors before his last setback. Iwakuma is not a fantasy option when/if he returns this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
