7/15:Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Hector Santiago, currently on the disabled list with a sore back, is slated to start throwing early on the team's next homestand. Minnesota opens up a six-game homestand this coming Monday when they take on the New York Yankees. Santiago will probably start by throwing bullpen sessions and batting practice before heading off to complete a rehab assignment. He has landed on the disabled list twice this season, first with a sore shoulder in June and now, more recently, with back soreness. Santiago has not pitched well this season, posting a 4-8 record with a 5.63 ERA over 70 1/3 innings.--Matt Terelle - Rotoballer
