10/17:Updating a previous report, Boston Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez underwent a left shoulder arthroscopy and debridement Tuesday and is expected to be fully ready for the 2018 season. The surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews in Florida. Han-Ram, who will be 34 next season, was plagued by shoulder woes for much of the season, and perhaps that's why he hit a disappointing .242 with only 23 homers and 62 RBI in 2017. That's a big drop from the 30 bombs and 111 runs he drove in last year, and there's no guarantee he'll be back to the 30-homer mark in 2018 with better health.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
