10/19:With his future teammates one victory away from reaching the World Series, Gleyber Torres has given the New York Yankees some positive news regarding the future. The 20-year-old highly-touted prospect, who’s been out since June with a torn UCL in his left elbow, is back in the batting cage taking swings. Torres was on the fast track to a major league promotion prior to his injury, a factor that might have ultimately sparked this Yankees run. After all, with no third basemen to introduce, the club went on to acquire Todd Frazier along with David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle. Beyond this postseason, however, Torres’ future in the minor leagues is unknown. Should he continue his progression, he will be in the Bronx sooner rather than later.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
