German Marquez Pitched Well At Coors Field In 2021
3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez turned in another quality season in 2021, pitching to a 4.40 ERA and a 3.86 FIP in 180 innings for the National League West club. The veteran also registered 176 strikeouts to go along with 64 walks. In his career, Marquez has generally been better on the road, with a lifetime 3.85 ERA away from Coors Field and a 4.73 career ERA at Colorado's home park. However, he was much better at home this past season, logging a 3.67 ERA, 98 strikeouts, and 40 walks in 103 innings in his home uniform. His road splits, which included a 5.38 ERA, 78 strikeouts, and 24 walks in 77 innings, weren't as ideal. However, if he can continue to pitch well at home while regaining his effectiveness on the road, he'll be a steal at his current ADP. Per the NFBC, Marquez has an ADP of 253.04.
