8/12:George Springer went 2-for-4, including a two-run home run as the Astros lost to the Rangers 6-4. The home run was his first since July 7th and is now 3-for-12 since returning from the disabled list on August 9th. Springer now has 28 home runs, one shy of his career high and hopefully is a sign that his quadricep problems are behind him. The Astros have been trending in the wrong direction lately and the return of their powerful leadoff hitter should be a boon to the offense. Springer this season is hitting .308 with 22 doubles, 28 home runs, 68 runs batted in and 88 runs scored.--Joey C - RotoBaller
