8/23:All-Star catcher Gary Sanchez continued his torrid hitting tonight, as the Yankees blew the Detroit Tigers out once again to move 11 games over .500 for the first time in over two months. The 24-year-old picked up two more hits, including a solo home run in the very first inning, putting the Yankees ahead for good. It was Sanchez’s 10th home run of the month, as he’s hit more than every hitter in the game during the stretch. He later singled home two more runs in the third, as the Yankees eventually prevailed, 10-2. For the season, Sanchez is now hitting .276 with 26 home runs and 72 RBI.--Ricky Delgado - RotoBaller
