5 years agoThe San Francisco Giants recently signed outfielder Billy Hamilton to a minor league contract, and manager Gabe Kapler is already thinking of ways to implement his speed. Hamilton has historically been an elite source of steals in fantasy leagues, but his below-average hitting skills have ousted him from regular playing time over the past few seasons. The 29-year-old managed to steal 22 bases last season despite only having 353 plate appearances, but he posted a poor .218/.289/.275 slash line. Hamilton will first need to make the Major League roster before fantasy players can even think about him in rotisserie leagues, and even then, he would need to show improvement at the plate.
